Mesa Campbell


Marie Teresa ''Mesa'' Campbell, age 76, of Northville, Michigan, passed away March 17, 2006. She was born on May 26, 1929, in Lake Forest, Illinois to Hempstead and Mary (Dennehy) Washburne. She married James H. Campbell on May 17, 1958, and resided in Northville since 1966. Mesa was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Northville. She volunteered with the American Red Cross, Meals-on-Wheels, Angela Hospice and others. She was a member and past director of the Huron Mountain Club. Mesa loved nature and the outdoors, which she enjoyed through hiking, fly fishing, gardening and birding. She often traveled with her husband, family and friends fly fishing for trout. Survived by her husband James of 47 years; her children, Anne (Tim) Gardner of Menominee, Jamie (Peggy Garties) Campbell of Wisconsin, and Mary (John Larch) Campbell of Petoskey; her brother Thomas (Katherine) Washburne of Maryland, and Virginie Isham of Illinois; and six grandchildren.
