Timothy Danielson Lincoln (1815-1890) was Mrs. Richard "Mary" Mitchell's father

Born in Brimfield, Mass., Timothy studied law and moved west. When his stagecoach stopped for several hours of rest in Cincinnati, Ohio, he became thoroughly enchanted with the town and immediately decided to stay. It is also suggested that part of his decision was based on the sight of a lovely young woman, Mary Snelling Clarke, whom he would eventually marry.

He was named after his grandfather, Timothy Danielson

(1733-1791).
