Sisters and Brothers

These are my Aunts and Uncles, my grandparent's children, my mother's sisters and brothers:

Uncle Ledge

Ledyard was born 11 Feb 1912 in Cincinnati, OH. In the early 1930's, he eloped with Josephine Schlotman (neither family approved). They had three daughters. He and Josephine divorced in the early 1950's; she remarried and is now deceased. Ledyard then married Heidi Flannery, about 1955. They had two sons, Tripp and Skip. Heidi died in the late 1980's, after a protracted battle with cancer. Ledge died on 30 Jun 2002 in Massachusetts.

Aunt Mary

Mary was born 26 Jul 1913 in Cincinnati, OH. She married Paul Harvey Deming, Jr., of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI, in July of 1939. They had two daughters, Linda and Polly. Mary died 4 Nov 1943 in Detroit, MI. She was the victim of
an overdose of a drug administered hypodermically while she
was a patient Harper Hospital in Detroit. She was given a crystal form of a medication which is 800 times stronger than the form in solution.

Uncle Sherm

Sherm was born 28 Oct 1914 in Cincinnati, OH. He married Anne Buhl about 1937 or '38. She was from a prominent Detroit banking family. They had one son, Mike. Sherm died in December of 1981..

Aunt Sara

Sara was born 16 Dec 1916 in Cincinnati, OH. She married first John O'Keefe, who came from Carthage, MO, and attended Yale Law School. They had one son and one daughter. John, serving in the U.S. Navy, died in the Fall of 1943, several weeks prior to the death of his sister-in-law, Mary. His death was not combat related. Sara married second James Walker in March of 1948. James was named for Mayor Jimmy Walker of New York, and was brother of the wife of Connecticut Senator Prescott Bush, the father of George Herbert Walker Bush, 41st President of the United States. Jimmy died about two years after Sara. They had one daughter, Hilary. Sara died 23 Sep 1996 in Hobe Sound, FL.
